awake and unafraid
maggie and milly and molly and may ~~
ee cummings
maggie and milly and molly and may went down to the beach (to play one day)
and maggie discovered a shell that sang so sweetly she couldn’t remember her troubles,and
milly befriended a stranded star whose rays five languid fingers were;
and molly was chased by a horrible thing which raced sideways while blowing bubbles:and
may came home with a smooth round stone as small as a world and as large as alone.
For whatever we lose (like a you or a me) it’s always ourselves we find in the sea

Thank you Brian. It’s been hard getting back to reality.
awake and unafraid – the vastness even there on beachside margins speak to our size and contrarily our able to comprehend our smallness and the vastness of oceans, continents, spheres, and the beyond …nebulas, galaxies, universe. Wow! Well done with the great pics!

Thanks Dani!
Neat and sweet! I like the faux-naif tone, which picks up on the child’s constant capacity for wonder so well.
Thank you.

Visiting from the Summer of Soul Link Page. Love what you’ve done here! Coupling photographed words with typed ones, the sea, the sand, whimsical “narration.” Cool!
Thank you for the nice words and thank you for finding me!
